On April 22, 2025, the FATES-MLOps project was awarded $270,000 by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) to work on Incorporating FATES Principles in Continuous Development of ML-Integrated Systems.

This funding complements the one already secured by the French part of the consortium, to focus on the follwing question: “Can we systematically and progressively include justifications related to the FATES (Fairness, Accountability, Transparency, Ethics, and Security) building and operating of a software system integrating Machine Learning?
